Babies are born!
Late this summer we became parents once again. Four peachicks emerged from their eggs. It's still too early to tell, male or female. Altogether that makes 9 peafowl, one peahen, four peacocks and four peachicks. From the time the peachicks are born it takes approximately three years and a lot of bird food for the males to grow out their beautiful tales as shown below. They shed the long feathers each fall and grow more in the spring.
