New Puppies
Our New Winery Dog
We recently brought home and to the winery, our latest edition to the family, Maggie or Maggie Magpie for short. She's the ferocious beast with sharp little puppy teeth. Sometimes we wonder "is this a puppy or a baby shark".
Regardless, we think she is the perfect fit to the winery and Sallie, our seven year old Dauchsand, thinks so too, well most of the time. It took about a week or so for Maggie to win her heart as well.
When you come by the tasting room, just ask for the Magpie and we'll know just who you're looking for.

Babies are born!

Peachicks have arrived!
Late this summer we became parents once again. Four peachicks emerged from their eggs. It's still too early to tell, male or female. Altogether that makes 9 peafowl, one peahen, four peacocks and four peachicks. From the time the peachicks are born, it takes approximately three years and a lot of bird food for the males to grow out their beautiful tales as shown below. They shed the long feathers each fall and grow more in the spring.

Visit our peacocks in their aviary which is located near our tasting room.
